More fiddeling around with the ads
Please tell me what you think of this, as it is not final - I'm just giving different possibilities a try :-)
Also I have been thinking about a "reward" system: The more entries you write, the less ads are displayed. How does that sound? I don't want to upset my "power users" :-)

supersized.org update
Writing a blog but nobody reads it? These times are over, as with every new entry you write, a screenshot of your blog will appear on each page of www.supersized.org. The screenshots are created via sitesnat.ch, a great place to make web screenshots/homepage thumbnails. :-)
I'll also add a dedicated page that lists recently posted blog entries at supersized.org and a search form, for your convenience. If you have other features to suggest, feel free to tell me about it.
Take care!

Update update
Hey folks, this is just a very short note before I leave town for a few days to let you know what has happened. All blogs hosted at supersized.org have moved to a new server. Both hardware and software have been changed and everything should feel way quicker now.
Also, I have prepared some real funky goodies that will be installed after I'm back. If you note any glitches, please let me know quickly.
During this update the WYSIWYG-Editor has been activated for all blogs. If you don't know what it is, you don't need to do anything. If you do not wish to use WYSIWYG-Editing, just go to the "Personal Settings" page in your administration-panel and adjust the "Use WYSIWYG Editor" setting.
And now: Please continue enjoying your supersized blog! :-)

supersized blogs attacked by trackback-spam
It had to happen sooner or later. There has been a rush of trackback spam on blogs hosted at supersized.org. As it lies in the nature of trackbacks to be submitted automatically, by a machine, the sophisticated anti-spam mechanisms that work so well for normal user-comments can not be applied.
I have therefore deactivated trackback-comments for all blogs on supersized.org, except for those, who have changed the settings for comments submitted via the API. Their setting is now "moderate" which means they receive an email for each trackback that has been made. The trackback won't appear on your blog until you have allowed it to be displayed.
Sorry for "removing" the trackback feature, but I assume you don't want to have 300 emails a day that contain a moderation request for trackback spam.
If you want to cope with that and enable your visitors to submit trackbacks, blog-configuration page, click "Configure Plugins", scroll down and select the "Spam protector" plugin and adjust the "How to treat comments made via APIs" setting.
UPDATE:
To make things clear, some more words. Only "incoming" trackbacks have been blocked. If you write an entry and reference another website or blog-entry, your supersized-blog will still send out trackbacks and announce entries on blog-syndication sites (if you want it to).

Rainer Safferthal is trying to abuse supersized.org
Comment Spam? Referrer Spam? Trackback Spam? No, Blog-Spam! That's what's up! Check out supersized.org/">http://safferthal.supersized.org/, this guy named Rainer Safferthal (he's from Waiblingen, germany) signed up for supersized.org and used his blog to push his page-rank. Poor guy. He's also been abusing the services of log.ag, blog.de, blogspot.com, and blogg.de.
Hump the punk!
